I liked this video because as many of my friends know, I already have my license. I know that I for one would feel A LOT safer knowing that I wouldn't have to worry about being in an accident because I was hit by someone who was texting while driving. I have already taken the pledge to NEVER text or email while driving, let alone drinking or otherwise under the influence in any way, and I certainly hope that everyone will do the same. Especially after finding out that your reaction time to someone braking in front of you is far greater than being drunk.
I agree with you, I saw this speech using the link and it was interesting when the speaker showed the reaction times between texting {reading and sending}, drunking, an unimpaired. It was shocking, to hear the statistics of accident because of texting, especially when it comes to teenagers.
ReplyDeletei agree with you. I was suprised the reaction time while being drunk is better than texting reaction time. I like how she mentions there's a time and place for everything. When driving you drive, you dont text.
ReplyDeleteI agree. I can't drive yet, but I have been in the car with someone who was texting and driving, and it was pretty scary. It definitely made me feel unsafe and nervous. I just hope that people realize how dangerous it is to text and drive and that sending one text isn't worth risking your life.
ReplyDeletethis is a good point but dont text while driving should be common sense
