AQWF: Ch. 7-12

Ch. 7-9:
Something that stood out to me in these chapters was when Paul was with the dying french soldier. It really showed how Paul has come to understand the value of a human life. Before they just looked like soldiers, then Paul gets up close and he realizes they're real human beings just like him.
Ch. 10-12:
It was kind of a sad feeling to find out that by the war's end, Paul was the only one left of all his classmates. The war had altered their minds so much about civilian life, that even the soldiers who made it home, including Paul, were very much scarred for life. It could affect them so badly that they could die prematurely, such as suicide. The leaders of countries must take better consideration towards their troops before blindingly sending them into battle at a front.
