"A soldier who will never wake up"I decided to pick this picture because I know that this young soldier had once a future. He probably had enough potential to get an education, family, and happiness for the rest of his life; however he put these things aside and volunteered to go to war. WHY? He was devoted, loyal, and dedicated to his country. He thought if he could be of any help to end war and bring peace to the rest of the world, he was going to have to sacrifice his life. Every second that ticks by, he is lying on the verge of death. Sorrow, despair, lament and fear take over his young man’s dear family and friends. He was willing to sacrifice his precious life to save hundreds of others and that’s why this image stood out from the rest and significantly impacted me.
Poem:
All I see is a corpse
A living corpse
Having lost both his arms and his mind
Lying on the death bed
Others crying and weeping for his awake
He sacrificed his life for the salvation of others
He is a hero to the world.
He is a hero to me.
I really enjoyed the picture that you chose, and I'm sure he is Korean, so that may give back memories when you lived in (North) Korea.
ReplyDeleteI liked the ending of your poem saying that the soldier is a hero, it really reflects how war is.
Dear Alvin Chan,
ReplyDeletethank you for commenting on mine. Anyways this guys is not a korean, even if he is I am proud to post his lion's brave heart picture online.
p.s. I did not live in North Korea. People can't escape North Korea. Even if they tried they killed before they can cross the border. You should watch more news, cause there was some incident...
your poem was really good and well thought out :)
