I believe same sex marrige should be allowed. Gay and lesbian couples deserve the same rights as straight couples. Marrige is about love, and if two people love each other, they should be able to get married, reguardless of their sexual orientation. This is an issue of civil rights, not of certain people's moral beliefs.
One of the main reasons some people are against same sex marrige is because they believe it goes against the teachings in the Bible. Whether or not this is true, one of the basic foundations of our constitution is the seperation of church and state, so this argument should have no legal validation.
Everyone in entitled to their own opinion, and that is fine; the fact that we can openly share our views and beliefs is part of what makes our country so great. However, when it comes to making laws that would have such a heavy impact on a rather large group of people, we need to put our bias aside in order to decide what is civilly right.
I completely agree. This is so true. It doesn't matter what or who you love you should be allowed to love them as much as you want.
