Legalizing Marijuana?
Even though marijuana may be one of the weakest and least deadly of drugs, it is still a drug and I believe it shouldn't be legalized. Although it may benefit those in need of painkiller, it is still a drug and be very harmful if not used responsibly and properly. Some say legalizing marijuana would DECREASE the percentage of marijuana use because it won't really give that "Rebellious" feel to it of hiding and smuggling it into places. I think it wouldn't decrease the percentage, I believe it would increase because showing that marijuana isn't illegal will show its not as dangerous as people might think and people will continue to try it out. Legalizing marijuana would be a danger to lots of people throughout countless communities.

I agree in some areas but marijuan still is a deadly drug it just doesnt show as early as some of the harder drugs. It still can damage your system just not as fast as other drugs. I do think that some people feel it gives them a rebelious feel when they do something illegal but im not sure if thats the main reason that people like to smoke. I think they get addicted to the high that it gives them and them, and when they get tired of that high they move on to a drug that gives them either a different high or a harder high.
ReplyDeleteThen what about cigarettes? They kill more than Marijuana does and thats legal. Why should cigarettes be legal and Marijuana isn't?
ReplyDeleteHow is marijuana deadly if no one has ever died from it?
ReplyDeletei think that if we legalize it, more people will do it. and if we do make it legal i think we should make cigarettes illegal
