Beneatha Blog

Beneatha: I was excited about moving into the new house, until Mr. Lidner came and told us about his proposal. He told us that the people of Clybourne Park had raised money to buy or new house from us, just to keep us out of there. Now I'm a little nervous about moving into that new house with all those white people livin' there. When Bobo showed up and told Walter that he had lost all of his money and my college money I was really angry at him. He had gone and spent his liqour store money plus my college money on that stupid liquor store.

  1. I like how you went to go with the part of the scene with Mr. Linder because Beneatha had alot of emotion and was very upset at the man for him not wanting them to move to Claybourne Park. I also like how you described how she was feeling about moving to an all-white neighborhood.

  2. I love the way you talked about the new house and how she was actually excited and then when Mr. Lidner came and told them they couldn't. You did a good job making the voice of Beneatha.

I agree with the ways how you put beneatha's thoughts. I agree the way how beneatha was nervous about moving into a white neighborhood
