Beneatha's journal
Today I found out that my older brother has used all of my money for school on his foolish investment......and guess what? Willie took all the money! Now I'm left with no money for my studies to become a doctor and finally make something of myself. I feel very betrayed that he would trust that man with my education and the rest of Mama's money. I feel that Walter should pay me back because its wrong what he did because now I dont know how im gonna pay for my school and get my family's finances stable. It's just like Walter to do something like this because now we are all broke. :(

You really set the voice of Beneatha, good Job!! How all she ever talks about is herself and her education. And what walter did was the worst thing he could have done in this play.
ReplyDeleteI like how you talk about how important being a doctor and having an education was to her and it was her dream until Walter lost it too, and he should be responsible for the money, like you said.
