Hot topics: mosque on ground zero
This topic got me pretty fired up. I couldn't understand why people are trying to build a whole cultural center with a mosque. Personally, I don't think any sort of religious building should be built on ground zero. What we need there is either some sort of memorial or monument, or we need to start getting it together and start building a new world trade center, as Oren said. We shouldn't be getting all biased over different religions building their form of church, temple, or mosque. But even 2 blocks away from ground zero wouldn't work. New York is the city that never sleeps (or so we thought), so they should be one of the major centers for helping to rebuild our economy. But it boggles the mind that it takes them 9 years (and counting) to design a new world trade center. Come on New York, get with the program so the US can get back to a good economy, if the world trade center gets knocked down, it shouldn't take a few thousand rocket scientists this long to build it back up.

Freddy its a freaking 100 story building. that takes planning. it takes years to plan just the wiring for small like 10 story buildings. but yeah i agree building a mosque on ground zero is really stupid.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you. They should build something about the people who died in the plane crash. At least some kind of memorial building. They shouldn't even think about building a mosque at ground zero even if it't two blocks away from gound zero.
ReplyDeleteI agree that New York should really get their act together and hurry up on building the New World Trade Center. They really are taking their time....maybe they are trying to make it bomb proof or something :). Anyway I also agree the there shouldn't be a mosque next to ground zero.
