Hot Topics: Prop 8

In my opinion, I believe gay-marriage is acceptable. As many people have said, it is their choice to do what they want and we should not interfere with them. According to the constitution, equality is maintained to all individuals under the law. You could say the people who oppose gay-marriage are eliminating rights, because we are all created equally. It is also based on fairness and to respect them instead of saying that they are different than straight people. In addition, there are many other problems to deal with instead of same-sex marriage, such as unemployment, the economy, and the environment. People shouldn't make it a big deal, and we should all believe in equality and fairness for everyone. Besides, what do we have against homosexuals? Just because they are attracted to the same sex doesn't mean that we have to oppose them.

  1. I agree with you that we are all created equally, and we should respect them, with what they believe and love. The fact that america has other issues is another reason that this is common sense and allow gay marriage. I think San Francisco already allowed gay marriage or something.

  2. i agree with you and in the constitution everyone is supposed to have equal rights. prop 8 is going against that. too many people are opposing gay marraige, but is it just because their against homesexuals. if thats the case thats discriminating

  3. Some poeple say gay marrage will effect the community. but really it wont. people are born with their own opinion and noone can make them think other wise. although i do belive that gay marrage shouldnt be called marrage, it should have anoher name spacifically for them.
