Jim Crow Laws
As soon as I pasted the link to my browser and opened up the page, I saw "No dogs, No Negros, No Mexicans." This immediately caught my eye because.. well it was the first picture on there, but also the fact that they classified "Negros", and Mexicans with an animal! That is beyond what I had knowledge of. I knew the Jim Crow Laws were awful, but to be classified with a dog? That is just down right awful. Also, the "separate, but equal" thing is total crap. It's like in WW2 when the Nazis said that the camps were for "protection," and they were being treated "equally." That is a lie, just straight up, no truth lie. Usually with politics there is the fine print that some how makes it fair, but with this its just a lie. This was a horrid case of taking advantage of someone with l3ess power than you.

I too was surprised at the picture that said, "No dogs, No Negros, No Mexicans." I always knew racism was, and is, in the South, but I never knew it was truely this bad before i read this article. It is unbelieveable to me that people could have such genuine hatred for someone just by the color of their skin.
ReplyDeletei was shocked at the picture. and i agree with the nazi camp comparison, its really stupid how they treated people and then lied about it.
