Jim Crow Laws
I know that in this time it was natural to enslave the black people, but everything about the Jim Crow laws are absoluteley ridiculous. They say that God is okay with racial seggregation. Well, they also taught us that God loves everyone and if you pray to God, you will be forgiven for your sins. This is a complete contradiction. Its just the stupidest thing ive ever heard, its like the people back then had no sense about anything and they didnt care who was beat, who was a slave. Who came up with the fact that blacks should be enslaved anyways? They didnt have God come down from heaven to tell them "enslave the black people! They should all be treated horribly and they should be seperated form their families", no. Somehow, everyone agreed with the Christian ministers and theologians that blacks should be segreated. It just doesnt make any sense to me at all. Luckily we got over that, but it shouldnt have begun in the first place. God says "everyone is equal", "treat everyone as your neighbor", "be kind". Then everyone starts to just trust the ministers when they come down telling everyone "Oh, by the way, God told me in my prayers that all black people should become slaves. He also said that this makes everyone equal and that you should all listen to me". How stupid could you get to listen to someone like that? And black people were not allowed to do anything, its as if they werent even real people.

i agree with you and your point on how god supports racial discrimination. how can he support that if he loves everyone. its stupid how people followed these rules against blacks
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with ypur post. No great power suddenly came down from heaven and said that blacks should be treated like low class slaves. I also liked when you said that god wants everyone to treat everyone like thier neighbor because that is more like what christianity is about, not degrading and hateful.

Those idiot whites didn't have nothing to do and they make this assumption to what; to have some fun? I agree with you that everyone is created equal and that its stupid how they could listen to that trash
ReplyDeleteTreat people the way you would want to be treated. I no that if the blacks were inslaving the whites, the white people would not like it. I personally think the white people should have gotten a taste of there own mine. Like honestly, i never thought back then racism was that bad.
