When I read this article I was seriously shocked. It was really sad to hear about all the laws againts black people and all the things they had to go through every day. I was most shocked when I read that it's not proper eddiquite for a white man to shake hands with a black man because it made them seem equal. That is really degrading and racist to the black people and it's just wrong on so many levels. I was also reacted to the part of the article when the talked about lynching. That is so corrupted and just sickening to think about these white people getting entertained by murder and abuse. This whole article just made me feel graetful that the world has changed since them and generally people arent as brudal and hateful.

I agree with you it is very degrading towards the black people. I think it is very wrong the way the whites treated the blacks. I mean to go to the point when they would lynch a black person for looking at a white person is just horrible. Black people are just as human than a white person.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you that what was happening to the blacks was "degrading","racist", "wrong on so many levels","corrupted","sickening","brutal", and "hateful". It's just plain wrong for people to act like that. I also agree that we should be greatful that we don't live that anymore.

ReplyDeleteYeah they were really brutal with black people and the fact that they didnt have any rights pisses me off so much. Its just our generation that understands more but what I cant figure out is why the older generation didnt see things like how we see things nowadays.

ReplyDeleteI agree with you that it is so much better now and im so glad. And I also agree on how it is sickening thinking about lynching. That is just terrible what they would do to blacks back then.

Im just so happy that racism isnt as bad as it was back then, cause i cant even imagine living like that and treating a human being that is just as equal as you are like crap. It is just not even crap its disgusting and just uncalled for. No matter what color you are, red, pink, black, tan, or white, everyone is created equally and everyone has the same rights.
